Yandex Europe AG in Lucerne, Switzerland, is looking for an

International Director Business Development and Sales

In this position you will build, develop, and maintain international advertising business for Yandex. The ideal manager is ready to expand international advertising business, manage a multi-GEO team of 50+ people, dive into business processes and challenges of advertisers, agencies, technological partners and offer viable solutions, while also seeking ways to increase our company’s share.

Your Responsibilities

  • prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate Yandex multi-market and business expansion in digital marketing and advertising.
  • expand and manage a team of 50+ people in Lucerne, Moscow, Shanghai, Almaty, Minsk.
  • oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and revenue.
  • work closely with Yandex product team in Russia to ensure that our products meet the requirements of international customers.
  • ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the team and that they are followed at all times.
  • execute a sales plan and overview implementation of internal projects and tasks.
  • analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company growth.


  • Swiss or EU citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent 4-year degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales and BD management in Europe, Russia and CIS countries in advertising or IT areas.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing multi-GEO and multi-cultural sales teams of 20+ people.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
  • Proven experience in managing sales in online advertising platforms (Yandex.Direct, Google Ads, Facebook Ads)
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Russian (preferably mother tongue), any additional language is a plus but not mandatory.
