Business Intelligence Manager 100%, (a)

Your main role is to lead our efforts in gathering, analysing, and interpreting market data to drive informed business decisions. This role is critical in providing actionable insights on market trends, competitive landscape, customer behaviour, and industry developments. The performer will combine decision-making processes with strong research skills, business acumen and the ability to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders across the organization.

Your Key Responsibilites

  • Define and implement the Business Intelligence strategy aligned with company objectives
  • Lead market intelligence efforts, focusing on iron ore industry trends, pricing indices, customer segmentation, and new growth opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and executive-level presentations to communicate insights across teams
  • Analyse competitor strategies, market positioning, and emerging threats
  • Monitor regulatory, economic, and technological developments relevant to the industry
  • Support commercial and financial teams with market forecasts and hedging decisions
  • Evaluate production scenarios and M&A opportunities with strategic recommendations
  • Design and execute both qualitative and quantitative research initiatives
  • Manage third-party research vendors and data subscriptions
  • Maintain strong relationships with key industry players, consultancies, and research institutions
  • Represent the company at global conferences and forums
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, operations, and commercial teams to shape go-to-market strategies
  • Build and manage a centralized repository of business intelligence resources

Your profile

  • Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics
  • Post-graduate degree in Finance is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in iron ore industry in roles related to market research, strategy, or business intelligence
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Excel, Think-Cell, EMIS, SQL or Python is a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with proven experience in public presentation and/or lectures
  • Experience managing multiple research projects and deadlines
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly establish professional connections intra and extra-company
  • Proficient in Portuguese and English languages, written and spoken
